Client: Regional Municipality of York
The Bullock Drive Trunk Watermain Replacement Project involved watermain replacement, the development of a temporary bypass plan, conducting feasibility studies to determine the optimal pipe material for the watermain and various watermain liners, designing for CIPP watermain installation, obtaining TRCA approvals, as well as preparing and supporting the tender process. During the construction phase, a new trunk watermain (1.84 km of 600mm Concrete Pressure Pipe) was installed using open-cut construction methods, and 285 m of existing 600mm Ductile Iron watermain was relined through a TRCA regulated area using CIPP liner. Accardi Schaeffers utilized their previous project experience with innovative trenchless design technologies to thoroughly evaluate and present the most feasible design solution based on the existing site conditions.
